Organizers are again moving the location of Saturday’s vigil for Puppy Doe, the abused dog found in Quincy last month that had to be destroyed.
The vigil will be at 5 p.m. at Pageant Field on Merrymount Parkway. Organizers were asked by Mayor Thomas Koch and the Quincy Police Department to move the vigil there because of the large number of people expected to attend.
The vigil was originally to be held at the Whitwell Street playground, near where the dog was found Aug. 31.
It was then moved to the plaza next to Quincy City Hall, but police raised concerns about parking and crowd overflow.
